My fondest childhood memories are Sunday afternoons.  Every Sunday visitors called in for afternoon tea.  My mum was a great cook and there were always freshly made cakes, biscuits and slices in the cupboard.  In fact I think I was in about sixth class when I ate my first "store bought" biscuit.  I loved baking with my mum, and I especially enjoyed getting out all the fine china and the silver tea set  when guests came around for afternoon tea.

I've always had a love of "everything old".  I started collecting trios when I was first married over 30 years ago.  I have added a lot and am always on the lookout for the next beautiful trio which is unlike any that I already have. There's nothing like a cup of tea from a fine bone china cup (well, maybe a glass of champagne from a lovely fine crystal glass)
